
Sheraton Heliopolis School is
one of the first schools established in Heliopolis district in October
1987 by the late Mr. Hassan EL-Rashidi. Since its establishment, it
has adopted the policy that a child has the right to learn and to acquire
various skills which enable him / her to cope with the changes in his
/ her society as well as the global changes around him. The school is
committed to prepare students to become productive Egyptian citizens
in the 21st century.
In 1987 the ground floor was occupied by KGs, first and second primary
classes.
In 1988, more classes were opened for third and fourth primary; fifth
primary classes were added in 1989.
1994/1995 witnessed the first graduation of the General Secondary Certificate
(Thanaweya Amma) students.
Presently, the school comprises
various educational programs: The National Program, the French Program
and the American Division. The American Division started in the academic
year 2004 with Grades 10 and 11.
In May 2006 the American division was accredited by CITA.
